Asa has worked across many genres of music, from mainstream pop/rock/singer-songwriter right through to more left-field electronics, contemporary classical music and free jazz. He is equally comfortable recording in traditional studios as he is in concert halls, churches, homes and even busy seaside cafes.

Whether it’s Abbey Road, a wild New Zealand beach or his own North London studio, the aim remains the same: creating a comfortable, creative space for that much coveted magic to happen.
- Asa is especially interested in working with young up and coming songwriters, helping them develop a sound and refining their songs. Get in touch if you are looking for a producer to move things up a level.

Asa has just returned to the UK after a month of recording in New Zealand, including a week at the fantastic Roundhead Studios in Auckland. New releases coming soon from Bakers Eddy and Ryan Edwards.

Asa recently finished production on an album called Luminous by Mem Morrison which was premiered as part of the Birmingham Weekender Arts Festival to rave reviews. It is an experiential piece where people listen to the album whilst walking through the city and experiencing visual installations. More installations to follow and an official release in the near future.
2014-05-28 Berenice Scott releases her new album on 2nd June with a gig at Pizza Express in Soho. The album features production and mixing by Asa Bennett.

Contemporary music group We are Children (We make Sound) derive their name from a John Cage quote about how musicians should view themselves.
Their aim is “to explore the nether land that exists between rock, experimental and contemporary music.”
